Two months ago, when Thien Nhan was first adopted, he was covered in mosquito bites, suffering from a rash and afflicted with scabies. Despite being doused with all sorts of creams and ointments, the scabies proved hard to eradicate, and poor Nhan scratched himself raw. Finally the doctor recommended that Mai Anh change his clothes and bedding twice a day and boil everything for two hours. For a few days the family did a LOT of laundry. Today, Thien Nhan's skin is "as smooth as a baby's".
